SELECTIVITY AND EXCLUSIVITY
Selectivity means I do not follow everyone back. I follow people Maleficent wants to see on her dash, and at times this even means not following my own friends back on their various blogs. It is never meant as a personal slight, but she has specific and limited tastes in who she wants to see day to day. Please don't be offended, and you can always send in asks, memes, whatever, whether or not I follow you back. Symbol memes are generally open to non-mutuals too unless they are romantically based. Those will be answered with extreme mutual selectivity.
Exclusivity means I don't write with more than one portrayal of any muse, nor do I write with anyone who writes with another Maleficent blog. This is a personal choice, not one intended to upset or offend anyone. I have nothing against other portrayals, but I do not wish to see them on my dash for any reason. I will unfollow if I see one.
I am exclusive to herroyaldarkness. I would appreciate if no other Regina's attempt writing with me as it will be clear my rules were ignored or simply not read if they do.
CONCERNING THREADS
I reserve the right to drop threads for any reason, as do all my partners. I have extremely high anxiety and stress issues and threads I can't reply to only add to it. I will not keep them around if they are only causing me stress. Please do the same. Drop whatever you need to be happy as a writer, pleasing people is never more important.
CONCERNING TAGGING
This blog does and will contain Not Safe For Work material. Threads, images, musings, etc. My muse is a sexual being and has no qualms about it being public. I tag it ALL #nsfw;;. If you blacklist "nsfw*" (that's nsfw with an asterisk on the end) it will pick up any and every variation of a nsfw tag anyone uses. I tag triggers and expect the same in return. Ex: tw blood, tw gore, tw alcohol, etc. Please tag your triggers or I will unfollow.
SHIPPING
Generally speaking — highly unlikely. My muse goes through lovers quickly and with little regard. It is rare she develops anything akin to feelings for anyone. Anyone that is, except for Regina. My main ship across multiple verses is and only will be with Regina Mills. She has had other relationships before, but few of them mattered to her. Regina is the only person she's ever forgiven despite every betrayal, and nothing and no one will ever equal her in Maleficent's eyes. Do not try to force ships with me.
GODMODDING
Don't do it. And don't underestimate my muse. She is a violent and powerful woman. If your muse pushes her she will kill them. Simple as that.

I am open to any and all lengths of rp, though I am extremely selective in choosing partners for my own personal comfort. I will likely not be posting greeters unless I have a spark of muse for something,
but on occasion I will post opens will which be for mutual and non mutual followers, tagged depending on which.
CANON
With Maleficent's return to OUAT my canon verse both follows along with and fills in the blanks of what we do and don't see on screen. I enjoy doing threads that show what occurred between scenes, expanding on interactions we were only given glimpses of, and all in all presenting a much more well-rounded view of Maleficent as a sorceress and a woman.
She is powerful and intelligent, will mask any passing insecurities in ways that are sometimes reckless, and almost always on pure instinct. She is as fiesty in her human form as she is as a dragon, and she will turn whenever she sees fit. Most times she appears fairly mild-mannered, but if provoked — in or out of her dragon form — she is no one to mess with. She has magic, and she will use it. I will not God mod you in my writing but if she is pushed too far no one can be held responsible for what she might do.
PAST — Anything set during or after the events of 4x14
This is a canon verse following and filling in the events from when we first meet Maleficent in her castle in 4x14, and leading up to just before she joined with the Queens of Darkness. This verse is open for interaction with anyone, but that said the Maleficent you will find here is still quite reclusive, working her way through her addiction to her own sleeping curse, and finding it not as easy as she may have hoped. Her magic can be spotty at times, but she is still immensely powerful. After meeting the young queen who helped get her magic back (and taking quite an interest in her), much of her time is spent in the castle when the queen visits. She doesn't venture out that often but when she does, whether to stretch her wings or simply breathe some fresh air, she can be found just about anywhere in the kingdom, usually with the girl at her side.
MODERN — Anything set after Maleficent's resurrection
This verse follows the show canon from Maleficent's resurrection in Storybrooke forward. It is also open to interaction. After the plans with the Queens of Darkness fell through Maleficent turned to the heroes only in exchange for help in getting her daughter back from the magic-less world she cannot enter. After meeting Lily and realizing that vengeance was no longer so important to her, Maleficent did her best to connect with the girl, though there were many obstacles along the way. She never learned how to be a mother, and eventually turned to her one remaining friend left in Storybrooke, Regina. Now living in a modern world that she adapted too quickly, for the most part, she's doing her best to remain on a neutral path, it is unlikely she will ever be or try to be good, but she does want to be a good mother.
Follows along with the show but with one minor change that ends in major developments. Robin Hood left Regina in Storybrooke and never returned. Marian was not Zelena and there was never any need to rescue her thief, leaving the opportunity for feelings old and new to arise between her and Maleficent once again. In Fairytale Land Regina chose darkness over love, over the power that Maleficent wielded and would have gladly used in any way Regina saw fit, leaving the dragon with a broken heart that never completely healed. When she was brought back she never had the intention of pursuing love again, looking only for something to fill a gnawing void she had inside her, and easily seducing the exEvil Queen did just that. That was, until, she fell in love all over again. This verse is open but selective in terms of who I will interact with in it.
Any events in Maleficent's past leading up to episode 4x14. This includes before she cursed Briar Rose, and before she lost her fire. Anything before the latter will find a vicious and powerful sorceress who will not hesitate to roast anyone who dares confront her. Unless she's in the mood to be entertained before, in which her victim will have a chance to explain their way out of the grasp of a dragon. This verse is open to all.
After the now Evil Queen left her, and despite numerous attempts to try and convince her former love she made a mistake, Maleficent finds herself at one of her lowest points. Love had never been of any consequence to her before, but that all changed in her time with the young queen. After telling the girl she wanted all of her, but had no interest in her heart, over time Maleficent realized that was no longer true, and briefly they were quite in love with one another. Until power and revenge darkened the girl's heart beyond what even the dragon could repair. This is an open verse.
PAST — Anything involving the QoD in Fairytale Land
Maleficent joins with the Queens of Darkness with the hope of filling the void left by the Queen. This verse follows the canon events of the show and fills in the gaps left untold. It concludes when the Charmings sent her child through a portal to the land without magic, and her two companions disappeared without a trace. This verse is open to interaction. I am exclusive to my Cruella, but at this stage I do not have an exclusive Ursula.
With the breaking of the curse sending everyone back to Fairytale Land like it never happened, Maleficent wakes up back in her castle, fully aware of her time spent dead. A tentative alliance is formed with the woman who surely arranged that death after trapping her in a mine for 30 years, only on the promise that when the new curse is cast to bring them back to Storybrooke, her fate be much different than the first time. This verse is open for interaction.
This is a more AU take on the canon events of the show, with Regina never having known this Robin Hood character at all, and the flames between her and her old friend sparking all the more for it. This is a closed verse with my Regina.

Why I Do It
Due to medical reasons I am unable to work, and this is thus far the only way I've found to support myself from home. I pay for nearly everything myself and can't afford to do so without a steady flow of commissions, so I am always looking for the opportunity to do more. I am a perfectionist and never half-ass anything I do. I will not charge you for changes I did not make, so I always make certain every theme is unique and different than the last. Photoshop and code are both passions of mine and I am always trying to better my skills from theme to theme. I try to make a point to teach myself something new with every theme I do.

Deposits
Due to multiple instances of me doing all of the work and not being paid from this point forward I will be asking for a flatrate $25 deposit on all themes. This is my one and only means of income and I cannot waste 5 days of work on someone who led me on and cannot pay. I will not ask for the deposit until I am ready to start designing your theme, and I will not begin designing if you aren't yet able to pay it.
The Process
Before I begin coding I will send you an image mock-up of what your theme can/will look like upon completion. If you’re happy I move on to coding, and only after I have finished coding, and doing any adjustments you want to the graphics, code, etc, then I will ask for the rest of your payment and have the final price for you. I can’t at the start know exactly what the end cost will be, but it has never been more than $10 extra on top of the estimate I’ve given. Some themes simply take much more time and effort, especially if you want complex codes, or require multiple changes throughout my designing and coding. The most I have ever asked on a theme commission entirely done by myself is $60.

With a sigh Regina resigns herself to not bothering with this particular fight. Instead she sits down as if there is nothing to hide. Never mind the fact that HENRY could have been here, or any one of the heroes she was meant to be despising. Honestly, she had known that this was going to be a risky endeavor, however Maleficent’s presence was proving more troublesome that she’d anticipated. Giving the woman a small smile, Regina crosses her legs in her seat adjacent the woman. “And just what is it you’re hoping to accomplish with this… impromptu visit, hm, Maleficent? Surely by now I’ve proven my loyalties to you all. So that certainly can’t be it.” Narrowing her gaze in slight annoyance, she waits for the reply.
A smile eases across her lips, devilish in origin and with the eyes to match. She isn’t subtle, never has been and will never care to be. But isn’t that what her old friend found so….polarizing about her in the first place?
“Truthfully I was bored,” she answers as her gaze starts to take in the room, noting every touch of style Regina seems to have gained since they were last together. “With Ursula gone Cruella has taken to drinking her weight in gin every chance she gets. I was tired of the blubbering and what if’s. I left her at the cabin to sleep it off.”
Her nonchalance is palpable as always. There are few she’s ever cared for and most of them are lost to her. There’s no use in pretending anyone here is worth her time or worry. Funny then that Regina is the one she seeks out at every whim.
